This is a USGS topo map of Nelson Cove. The "subject property" is all of the red stippled almost-square "section 16". This is just over one square mile. The river winding through the Eastern edge is the East Fork of the Chowchilla river. The dirt road just West of the property is Stumpfield Mountain Road, which goes North about 3 miles more to California state highway 49, which runs through Mariposa (about 15 miles to the North-West) to Oakhurst (abount 10 miles to the South-East). Miami Mountain and Nipinnawassee are just a few miles to the East. Yosemite Valley is about 25 miles North and slightly East.
